Realme XT Pro? Mysterious smartphone with Snapdragon 730G leaks
The upcoming Realme XT Pro seems to have been leaked via a benchmark listing, mentioning specifications such as a Snapdragon 730G chipset and the new 64MP quad-camera setup.
Realme has really stepped on the gas with the number of smartphones it is launching. Along with the Realme 5 and 5 Pro in August, we have the Realme XT as well as the Realme Q coming out in September. Joining this growing family, we have another higher-end Realme device coming up, as suggested by a leaked spec sheet.
Realme XT Pro? Realme X Pro?
Just like the aforementioned devices, even the purported Realme XT Pro will sport a 64MP quad-camera setup. It will consist of a 64MP f/1.8 primary camera, implementing the Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 image sensor, along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 119-degree field-of-view, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera will be a 32MP shooter.
In terms of cameras, it is very identical to the Realme XT. However, the key difference comes with the processing package, as this device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset, similar to the Redmi K20. This is the most powerful mid-range Snapdragon chipset, bested only by the Snapdragon 845 and 855. According to the listing, it will be paired with 8GB of RAM and UFS 2.1 storage.
Other specifications are pretty similar to the Realme XT too, including a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution with an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics. The battery is rated at 4,000 mAh with support for 30W VOOC fast charging, up from the 20W we are used to seeing from other Realme devices.
It’s still unclear if this upcoming smartphone will have a pop-up selfie camera as we saw on the Realme X, or a regular waterdrop notch as with the Realme XT. Regardless of that detail, this will be the most premium and the most powerful smartphone offered by the brand, and we should hear more details about it in the coming weeks.

The latest refresh of the ZenBook Flip S gives Asus a seriously powerful competitor in the 2-in-1 sphere. The Flip S UX370 has a new Kaby Lake R 8th-generation processor powering the device, plenty of RAM and a super-fast PCIe SSD in certain models. Its 2-in-1 design means you can use it as both a laptop and a tablet, and while it's not as affordable as some machines on this list, if you have the budget you'll be really happy with this fantastic device.

If you're after the latest and greatest laptop from Apple, we suggest you look into the 2018 model of the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. While Microsoft had the performance edge over last year's MacBook Pro, with the Surface Book 2, Apple has come out swinging with some seriously beefed up specs for the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2018, and even more so if you go for the larger 15-inch model. The headline Touch Bar – a thin OLED display at the top of the keyboard which can be used for any number of things, whether that be auto-suggesting words as you type or offering Touch ID so you can log in with just your fingerprint – is again included. It's certainly retained Apple's sense of style, but it comes at a cost. If you're open to switching to a PC you should consider the XPS 13, but, if you're a steadfast Apple diehard, this is definitely the best laptop for you!

The new MSI GS65 Stealth has knocked our previous choice of the best gaming laptop, Asus ROG Zephyrus GX501, off this list, thanks to its excellent array of cutting edge components, which includes an 8th-generation Intel Core i7-8750H CPU and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 GPU. It's also more reasonably priced than the Zephyrus GX501, and its subtle design means that it can double as a work or study laptop without raising any eyebrows. If you're looking for a more affordable gaming laptop, however, check out the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming below.

Last year’s Dell XPS 15 was already one of the best laptops you could buy, but now that Dell has taken the beautiful redesign of the Dell XPS 13 and applied it here – while also making it a convertible. Well, it’s amazing. Not only do you get one of the most aesthetically pleasing 15-inch laptops on the market, but it also packs one of those new Intel Kaby Lake G-series CPUs featuring ‘discrete-class’ Radeon graphics. This means that this laptop packs serious power – even if it can get a little loud.

The Surface Book 2 has some powerful enough components to handle most day-to-day tasks, and even some light gaming and video editing if you go for a model with a dedicated graphics card. Brilliant build quality and excellent battery life makes this a wonderful device for using as either a laptop, or as a powerful Windows 10 tablet. It also comes in a 15-inch version, which is more powerful and with a larger screen. If you're after a more affordable 2-in-1 device, then the Acer Switch 3, below, is well worth checking out.

Some of the very best laptops in recent years have been 2-in-1 devices, and Lenovo has added to that list with the excellent Lenovo Yoga 920. It features a wonderfully slim design, and its build quality is exceptional. The 360 degree hinge allows you to convert the laptop into a tablet-like device, making it flexible in all senses of the word. It's cheaper than the Surface Book 2, and while it doesn't offer quite the same quality when in tablet mode, it's an excellent device with plenty of power and bags of battery life. It's definitely a worthy alternative, and it's easily one of the best laptops we've seen this year.

Which type of laptop is best for you?
General laptops: This broader category is dedicated to devices that focus more on practicality than style, portability or power. That’s not to say they can’t be fast, but you’ll typically find a non-Ultrabook clamshell laptop with an HD screen and spinning drive-based storage for less than $1,000.
Ultrabooks: Where you’ll find thin-and-light notebooks sporting SSD storage and display resolutions that exceed 1080p. Paired with powerful, albeit mobile-centric components and especially long battery life, the best Ultrabooks will cost a pretty penny – closer to $1,000 to $3,000.
2-in-1 laptops: Where notebooks that double as tablets are located. Outfitted with both detachable and 360-degree rotating hinges, these hybrids are the most versatile way to experience Windows 10 (or Chrome OS) on a touchscreen.
Chromebooks: Where you’ll find the best Chromebooks running Chrome OS. These do much of what Windows and macOS can in the browser, focused on cloud storage over local, while recently getting Android app support for touchscreen models. They generally cost less than $500.
Gaming laptops: Need a laptop to play games (almost) just like a shiny desktop PC can? Then you’ll want one of the best gaming laptops. These machines generally cost more than $1,000 and can quickly get into the $4 – 5,000 range for the beastlier models.

eBay Australia's 20th birthday sale offers up a heap of Sony and Dell deals
It might be hard to believe, but eBay Australia has been around for 20 years now, letting Aussies sell their unwanted items and simultaneously acting as a platform for convenient online shopping.
To celebrate its 20th birthday, the website is having a huge sale across its entire range of categories, including some truly awesome discounts on tech products.
On top of this, there are also ten specific products that eBay is reducing to just $20 for a very limited time – just an hour, in fact – and this includes a Google Home Hub on sale at 12pm, and Bose Soundsport Free wireless headphones on sale from 3pm.
The one catch with this sale is that you'll need to be an eBay Plus member in order to score the hourly savings. If you haven't yet signed up for a membership, you can always try it out for free for a month, otherwise it's $49 for a 12-month subscription.

NSW digital driver's licence rollout delayed to "late 2019"
New South Wales drivers who were eagerly waiting to get themselves a digital driver’s licence will have to wait a little longer, with the State Government delaying the rollout till some time later this year.
According to iTNews, the statewide rollout was slated to begin in August, but with September already here, the Service NSW website has been updated to state that the digital licences will be issued starting “late 2019”, with no specific date mentioned as yet.
Until then, the trial that started in Dubbo in October 2017 will continue, but is now open to citizens in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and the border town of Albury as well.
Long time coming
We first heard about digital driver’s licences coming to NSW way back in 2015 when the then State Government made it part of its election promise. However, it took another couple of years before the trial began which, NSW Minister for Finance, Services and Property, Victor Dominello, touted as “a big success” that drivers gave a “thumbs up” to.
Legislation to allow the state’s drivers to show digital licences in place of a physical alternative was introduced in May 2018 and, currently, there are more than 14,000 participants in the trial.
All participants are expected to carry their physical licence with them for the duration of the trial as not all checkpoints are equipped to verify the digital versions. Within participating areas, citizens can use the Service NSW app to show their digital licence when asked for at police checks or to gain entry into clubs and pubs.
Once the rollout becomes statewide, NSW will be the second Australian state to use digital licences, with South Australia having made their use optional in November 2017.
